Wholefood Nutrition Consultations for anyone interested in eating more of a plant-based diet and is dedicated to ensuring that they still meet their nutritional needs. If you or someone in your life has recently become a vegan or vegetarian and you are concerned about their health due to this change, seeing a Nutrition Consultant can help to ensure that this does not negatively impact their health. It is possible for some people to live healthily on a fully vegan diet, however for a number of reasons, not everyone can. By actively working to ensure that you meet all of your nutritional needs, you can give yourself the best chance to make this change one that lasts a lifetime.
FOR DIETERS & DISORDERED EATERS:
Find peace with food. These consultations can help you to stop viewing food as your enemy or as something that you need to gain control over. Hunger is not your enemy, eating is not a sin and there is no moral value gained by not eating a piece of cake if you want it. If you have been a dieter for many years, you may struggle to know when your body is hungry or full. With time and patience, we can work to reconnect you to these signals so that you can nourish your body and provide it with the fuel that it needs. Food is fuel, but it is also pleasure too. If you are reading this and thinking that if you start eating for pleasure, you will never stop eating ice-cream or chips or whatever your favourite ‘cheat’ food might be, but trust me, you will. One day, you will be handed a bag of chips and not eat any, not because you do not allow yourself to, but because you do not want to. The food will no longer be forbidden. As we grow and change, so to does our life and so to does the food that we need to eat. Food doesn’t need to be complicated, but it does need to be considered so that we can live our lives to the full.
We offer open-minded, supportive services to all people, including those that have chosen a Vegan or Vegetarian lifestyle or who have food allergies or intolerances and are passionate about ensuring they meet their nutritional needs.
